The National - You've Done It Again, Virginia

The Virginia EP, lo último publicado por The National, supuestamente sería un aperitivo de lo que será su próximo disco tras The Boxer; sin embargo, se trata de un EP que incluye versiones ("Mansion On The Hill", de Springsteen), y caras B de singles, como esta "You've Done It Again, Virginia"), que es de la época de Alligator, más o menos (del que ya se posteó en su momento la fantástica "Daughters Of The Soho Riots"). Lo de mirar en el baúl mientras el grupo se lo toma con calma es práctica habitual en la industria. Lo que no es tan habitual es el hecho de que, lo que hay en el fondo del baúl, sea tan tremendo como esta canción (Inexplicable que la hayan postergado de esta manera). Tras rebuscar un poquillo por Internet, me he encontrado un video de ellos interpretando esta canción en "The Black Cab Sessions", uno de esas webs que, como "Daytrotter" o el francés "La Blogotheque" le vienen pegando la vuelta al concepto de lo que es un programa musical en el siglo XXI, y de los que habrá que hablar más en EmeraldLies un día de estos.
